Amir TEYMURI (b 17.06.1984, Isfahan)

is a composer of loudspeaker music and currently a lecturer at the Institute for New Music, Composition and Conducting at the University of Music and Theater Munich, the Institute for Music Informatics at the University of Music Karlsruhe, and the Faculty of Music and Art at the University of Potsdam, Germany. He was the recipient of the Music Scholarship from the Academy of Arts Berlin and an artist in residence at the Center for Arts and Urbanistics Berlin. He has lived in Germany since 2010.

• 1998 - 2001 Initial musical training on the violin under the guidance of Mahmoud Merati
• 2003 - 2010 Studied Composition and Piano at the Department of Music, Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Tehran
• 2004 Awarded at the first 'Biennale for New Music' at the University of Tehran
• 2010 - 2018 Continued composition studies in Germany, in Freiburg im Breisgau (with Cornelius Schwehr) and in Frankfurt am Main (with Michael Reudenbach and Orm Finnendahl)
• 2015 Recipient of the music scholarship from the 'Academy of Arts' (AdK) in Berlin
• 2015 - 2016 Artist in residence at the 'Center for Arts and Urbanistic' (ZK/U), Berlin
• 2018 - 2020 Studied Music Informatics at the 'Institute for Music Informatics and Musicology' at the University of Music Karlsruhe
• 2020 - 2022 Research assistant at the Institute for Musicology at the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main
• Since the summer semester of 2023, lecturer at the 'Institute for New Music, Composition, and Conducting' at the University of Music and Theater Munich, and at the 'Institute for Music Informatics' at the University of Music Karlsruhe
• 2024 - 2025 Head of the Artistic-Scientific Committee of the Tehran International Electronic Music Festival
• Winter semester of 2025/26 Guest lecturer at the Department of Art Education, University of Potsdam
